Alumni, Family and Friends
The International Studies program is academic in nature, and when space is limited instructors give preference for places on study tours to students who are enrolled for credit.
Many instructors, however, permit alumni, family members, and friends to participate because they lend maturity and diversity to the tour and because higher numbers tend to reduce costs for all travelers. It is program policy that participants not enrolled for credit pay a separate administrative fee directly to the program, but that policy is currently under suspension. However, donations to the program, always welcome, may be made through the FAS Development Office: 411 Cooper Street, 2nd Floor, Camden, NJ 08102.
All participants who are not Rutgers students must complete the program General application form and submit it to the program office at 445 Armitage Hall or by email to the address given below. All Rutgers students not enrolled for credit must complete the Medical insurance waiver.
Instructors have considerable discretion in admitting or declining to admit individuals onto their study tours. In some cases they may not allow Rutgers Camden students to participate unless they are enrolled for credit. Contact the instructor for his or her policy on alumni, family, and friends.
