International Studies courses are almost always offered during the Spring term. Most students secure a place on a study tour by signing up for the appropriate course during the pre-registration period that begins around November 1. However, information about trips for the current year becomes gradually available--through word of mouth, by advertisement, or at the International Studies Fair--in the late summer and throughout the Fall. Some instructors may keep a list of interested students, especially where enrollment is restricted or by special permission only. Students are urged to contact instructors for further information as soon as they hear of study tours that interest them.

In addition to enrolling formally in an International Studies course, students must pay travel expenses according to the schedule of payments established by the licensed agency with which the faculty member is working. Deposits for March tours are sometimes due as early as late November. Payment schedules are posted on this site, under Current Study Tours, as they become available.
