The highlight of both School of Business courses is a twelve-day study trip to South Africa over Spring break, where we will visit businesses and government institutions to learn more about management and marketing practices in this region. Coursework is divided into pre-trip preparation; the trip itself, including academic work while on the trip; and post-trip analysis and reports. The tour will include stays in Cape Town and Johannesburg, where we will interact with small and medium-sized enterprises, global companies, and government bodies. We also plan to visit Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned during the apartheid era), Soweto, the Cape of Good Hope, and either Kruger or Etosha National Wildlife Park.
