Traveling without enrolling for credit

The International Studies program is academic in nature, and when space is limited instructors give preference for places on study tours to students who are enrolled for credit. In many cases, however, instructors permit alumni, family members, and friends to participate because they lend maturity and diversity to the experience and because higher numbers tend to reduce costs for all travelers. It is program policy that participants not enrolled for credit pay a separate administrative fee directly to the program, but that policy is currently under suspension.

Instructors have considerable discretion in admitting or declining to admit individuals onto their study tours. In some cases they may not allow Rutgers Camden students to participate unless they are enrolled for credit. Contact the instructor for his or her policy on this matter.

All Rutgers students, whether enrolled for credit or not, must complete the Medical Insurance Waiver.
